Study Tour on Organic Farming of Thailand Agricultural Land Reform Office in New South Wales
7-11 May 2018 Mr. Surajit Intharachit, Secretary-General of Agricultural Land Reform Office (ALRO) led a group of Thai delegation to meet with staff and lecturers of Southern Cross University, Lismore, New South Wales. The Thai delegates also visited successful horticulture and crop organic farms in Lismore and nearby areas.

On 7-11 March 2018, Office of Agricultural Affairs, Royal Thai Embassy Canberra, together with Mr. Sumet Mettasart, Director of 8 Regional Livestock Office and Mr. Amnouy Koumsab, Director of Prachin Buri Livestock Research and Breeding Center, Department of Livestock Development, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives of Thailand attended the seminar and property tours during the “Beef Australia 2018” at Rockhampton Showgrounds, Rockhampton, Queensland. Beef Australia is one of the world’s great beef cattle events and is held once every three years.

13 – 15 April 2018 OAA Canberra had the honour to welcome Mr. Grisada Boonrach, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives to Sydney en route to Thailand after attending the 34th FAO Regional Conference for Asia and Pacific in Nadi, Republic of Fij. Mr. Grisada Boodrach and his team discussed with OAA Canberra on market opportunities and challenges of Thai food and agricultural products in Australian market. The Minister visited the wholesale and retail produces market “Flemington Market” in Homebush, a suburb close to Sydney.

On March 24, 2018, Office of Agricultural Affairs, Canberra participated in Thai Festival 2018 at Kings Reserve, Torrensville, Adelaide, South Australia. The Festival was organised for the first time by Thai-Australian Association of South Australia in celebrating the famous Thai New Year or Songkran. The Festival was presided over my His Excellency the Honourable Hieu Van Le AC, the governor of South Australia. He also joined by Mrs. Thippawan Supamitkitja, Minister of Royal Thai Embassy.
